Jon aka LIL Devil

JON CUSANO

I am a marine veteran that has loved the adventure of life! I've spent the last 10 years, cutting welding, beating, grinding, and building my skill of metal fabrication. That said art has always been a part of my life. I have never wanted anything ordinary. From sketches to airbrushing, I have always enjoyed being different. So lets go on an adventure, lets go wild, lets build some crazy shit!

The History Behind The Name

All branches of our military should have love and respect in my opinion. Due to the prices willing to be paid by those who love us and our way of life. For me in particular, the United States Marine Corps stands at the top of the pile.

When I stepped onto those yellow footprints, my rebirth began. For us to earn the title of a marine it must be earned, as you learn your limits, and how to push them; you also learn to take pride in your unit, as well as your history.

Any marine can tell you where and when the Corps was born, or other pieces of our history. To learn our history is to become part of it.Those before, and those after will forever be brothers and sisters of mine.

Such as the battle of Belleau wood. With leaders like Dan Daly (already awarded 2 medals of honor at that time). In the interest of time I'll skip to the good stuff. The Germans, during WW1 had taken Belleau wood from the French and were paving a road to Paris. The Marines had just arrived..As the French were retreating A Capt Lloyd Williams would be quoted as saying “ retreat hell! We just got here”. The battle of Belleau wood would be one of the most costly and bloody battles in history. With fixed bayonets and hand to hand fighting, many fellow marines would move into machine gun fire to have a good ole brawl with their adversaries at the time. It's times like these when leaders like Dan Daly would be quoted as saying “Come on you sons of bitches; you wanna live forever?”. On June 26th 1918, it would be reported that Belleau Wood, would belong to the Marines. In later reports, the Germans would refer to the engagement as fighting the “hollen hunde” or hell hound, hence the term Devil Dog was born.

It is with history, and love of my brothers that I have named my art shop.
